How do you know if he really loves you? Besides this phrase being a line in an old Whitney Houston song, it is one of the most used phrases when a woman is speaking to her girlfriends about her love interest.

The love of your life may or may not have already professed his undying love for you, but how do you know for sure if the person that you are invested in is just as invested in you?

Words are easy to say, but his actions are what you should ultimately be looking for. The saying “Actions speak louder than words” rings very true in this scenario.

In this article, we are going to discuss the male species and give you an indication of the signs that a man will normally exhibit if they are desperately in love with you!

1. He Thinks of You All the Time

A man that thinks about you all the time will have difficulty trying to keep this to himself. He will constantly text you, send you memes, or like your posts on Facebook no matter how boring they are.

He will almost always comment on your social network posts to let you know that he is thinking about you.

A man who is in love with you will want you to know that he misses nothing and follows your every move, especially on social media.

2. He Constantly Brings You Up in Conversations with Friends and Family

When a man who is in love is around his friends or family, he will always find a way to make every discussion be all about you. He will find himself listening to songs that remind him of you and telling his friends about the special activities you were doing together when you both heard that song.

You will also find that his friends will always let you know that you are his main topic of discussion when they are together. Remember that a man in love is not afraid to express how he feels about you with others, especially to his boisterous friends.

3. You Are His Number One Priority

Let’s face facts, men love their boy time. If you find that your love interest is keener to spend time with you at home watching television than he is to go out partying with his friends, then it is more than likely that he is head over heels for you.

Although his friends and family will always be important to him, you will become his number one priority and he will show you this by putting your needs in front of others and doing whatever he can to make you happy.

4. He Pays Attention

Generally speaking, many men are not the best at memorizing things. If your man makes the effort to memorize certain things that you said such as things that you love and things that you hate it does not mean that he has a brilliant memory.

It simply means that he is paying attention to what you say and hanging onto your every word. He is showing you that you are never just an afterthought.

A man who loves you will even go so far as to remind you when your appointments are and will follow up with you on the plans to attend family functions.

He will always make sure to ask how you are, how your family is, how work is going, and even ask you about the outcome of something that happened to you two weeks ago.

5. He Misses you When You Are Not Around

It has been said that a man will often fall in love with a woman’s absence and not her presence. He may show you all the affection in the world when he is around you, but the question is, how is he when he is not around you?

A man who is in love will yearn for the presence of their partner when they are away from them. The thought of you will always be in the back of his mind. He will want to call or text you to tell you what has happened in his day just so that he can feel a constant connection to you when you are away from him.

When a man texts you about something that happened at work or something funny that he might have seen it means that he is missing you when you are not around him. He wants to share every moment of his life with you, and you are always on his mind.

You will never have to wonder where this man is as he will always keep in touch with you no matter what his circumstances. This, ladies, is a man who loves you.

6. He Is There to Help You No Matter What

If you call him when your car breaks down, he is there. If you have had an overwhelming day and need a shoulder to cry on, he is there.

7. He Is Protective of You

It is in a man’s nature to be somewhat protective of the woman that he is in love with. If he tries to protect you from physical, emotional, and mental harm then this is a sure sign that he loves you.

Jealousy is also a clear sign that a man has strong feelings for you and is often quite a natural occurrence that a man in love will find hard to control.

There is a limit to how far his jealousy should go before it starts to feel a little creepy, but jealousy in small doses is completely normal for a man who loves you.

8. He Automatically Knows When Something is Wrong with You

He is one of the only people who can see through your fake smile and know that you are not in the best of moods. He notices the little things about you that others do not. He even notices how you interact with others, how people act around you, and how your mind works.

Sometimes you may feel like he knows you more than you know yourself! He seems to understand how you process emotions and how you express yourself. 11. He Does Not Hold onto The Bad Stuff

It is normal for couples to fight and argue as they are getting to know each other. The difference here, however, is that if he loves you, he is not going to be angry at you forever.

To be quite honest, if a supermodel walked into the room you know that he would still keep his gaze on you. If your man is in love with you, he will always think that you are the most beautiful person in the room.

Physically, you will find that he will put in every effort to be as close to you as possible. It makes him happy to sit close to you at a dinner party or stand with his arms around you at a function. If he loves you, he will go out of his way to always be physically close to you.

It is safe to say that a man who goes out of his way to tell you how beautiful you are even on the days when you know you are not looking your best truly loves you. This man will always try to lift your spirits even on your darkest days and will always find something nice to say to you.

Even though it may be impossible for him to make you feel good on some of your really bad days, he will find a way in which to just be there even if it means simply lying with you in silence for a while.

13. He Wants to Know Everything About You and Your Life

He wants to immerse himself into your life by meeting your family, colleagues, and friends and he tries hard to get them to approve of him and make a good impression.

In the same breath, he also wants to show you off to all of his friends and family so that they can get the chance to love you almost as much as he does. He is proud to have you on his arm and will take any chance he can to show the world that you are his.

He will also take an interest in your hobbies and the things that you love to do for fun even if they are not quite his cup of tea. He wants to be connected to you and your life as much as possible.

14. He Always Lets You Know Where He is and What is Happening

If he loves you, he is always going to keep you in the loop no matter what. If he is going to be late for a date with you, he will let you know. If he goes away on a business trip, he will let you know when he leaves, when he arrives, and how things are going during the trip.

Sometimes he will keep you updated so much that you may start to feel that it is not necessary, but bear in mind that this is important to him. He wants you to know that he cares for you and that nothing else is ever more important to him than you are.

A man who loves you will never leave you wondering where he is and will always keep you informed about what he is doing. He does this to keep you assured of his commitment to you at all times.

15. He Has Plans for Your Future Together

When a man is in love with you, he will talk to you about the future and your plans together both short and long term. Men who want to build a real future with you will talk to you about things such as traveling together, buying a home together, or even getting married and having children one day.

A man who plans to be with you long term will not speak vaguely about the future. He will make it extremely clear that he envisions his future with you being in it. If this is the case, then your man is hopelessly in love with you and is more than likely not going to leave.

For the most part, men do not often verbalize their plans for the future if they are not sure if they love you. If your man is talking to you about the future, then he is a keeper!

It is not to say that if your partner does not do all of the abovementioned things for you that he does not love you. The fact is, that if he does even half of these things, he is more than likely very much in love with you and is there to stay for better or worse.
